You can now get all of your courses, announcements and grades as well as other things on the go using the new Blackboard mobile app. Newly added this great feature is a must have. This year Blackboard has added a new tab to the home screen. If you notice on the top right of the screen it says your name. If you click that, then a menu appears. You can check your grades and get upgrades from this new feature. The moment a grade is posted for you to view. You will see a red box with a number in it. Click the My grades to view a list of your most updated grade. This is a very nice featured that they added and I am very happy with it. I hope you all are too. Good work Blackboard.
Once you are logged into Blackboard, emailing students and teachers is easy. Look at the pictures. On the left side of the screen you see a box with a few options.
( Click Tools)
(Click Send Email)
Click (select users).
Now you just simply highlight the person you wish to email, use the arrows in the middle of the 2 boxes to move the name back and forth.The person you are emailing will be in the right side box. On the bottom type your message and then hit submit. Or on the left hand side of sceen there is a link that says send email. Click that and follow the steps above.That is all. The email is sent.
To get on and log into the Blackboard website is very simple and user-friendly. You can do this two ways.
1. You can go onto the SUNYCGCC web site and scroll over the academics tab, then click on distance learning. Then click the continue to Blackboard link and you will be on the log in screen.

2. The second way is to type in or click https://sunycgcc.blackboard.com/, which brings you directly to the Blackboard log in screen.
Once you are on the log in screen, Type in your user name and password which brings you to the page with all your classes and grades. Click on each link for the classes you are enrolled in and it brings you to that class page. You can view grades , announcements , email students and teachers, submit homework and even take online classes using the BlackBoard site. It is a great website and is very simple to use.
